2000: Ph. D. in Geochemistry, China University of Geo-Sciences, Wuhan, P. R. China.

October 2002 - present: Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing.
July 2000 – October 2002: Post-Doctor Researcher and Head of the Association of Post-Doctor Researchers of China University of Petroleum.
August 1983 – July 1997: Engineer / Senior Engineer at the Exploration and Development Institute of the Huabei Oilfield Branch Company, PetroChina Company Ltd., Renqiu, Hebei, P.R. China.

Research Interests:

Petroleum generation, migration, accumulation and alteration. 

Recent focuses: 
(1) Hydrocarbon origins in rift basins. 
(2) Geochemical index for secondary migration distance and petroleum distribution pattern. 
(3) Hydrocarbon accumulation mechanisms and distribution in sandstone, carbonate and shale reservoirs with low permeability. 
(4) Petroleum seepage and geochemical prospecting methods.
