Research Interests:
  1. The timing of geological events: The reliable radioisotopic ages are crucial to our understanding of geomagnetic reversals, global stratigraphic correlation, and paleoenvironmental and paleoceanographic changes. My current research focuses on the timing of earliest appearance of many important vertebrate groups and angiosperms in China and the timeing of the Cretaceous Normal Superchron.
  2. Noble gases: A wealth of fundamental information about the Earth and solar system is derived from the study of noble gases. My current research centers on the use of noble gases as tracers of geological fluids.
Public Services:

Honors:

2011 Chinese Geological Union Golden Hammer Prize
2008 Houdefeng Award

Supported Projects:
Geochronology and paleomagnetic study of ISEA, CNS (National Natural Scientific Foundation of China, 2006. 1-2008. 12)
