Education and Appointments:

Dr. Ren Zhipeng
FACULTY POSITIONS
2012- Dec. 2014, Associate professor of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences
Dec. 2014-present, Professor of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences
EDUCATION

  • B.S., 2004, University of Science and Technology of China in Anhui Province
  • Ph.D., 2009, Space Physics, Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences
  • Post-doctor, Space Physics, Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Research Interests:
My previous and current research focuses on two important topics of the ionospheric/thermospheric field. My first task is to develop the coupled ionosphere-thermosphere model. My second work deals with the couplings of the ionosphere/thermosphere system and atmosphere below.
