  • March 2004 to present: Employed by the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, with the title of Guest Professor.
  • January 2001 to February 2004: Postdoctoral Research fellow at the ECRC. Palaeoclimate record from Lake Baikal (European Union project CONTINENT)
  • July 1996- July 2000:  Mphil/PhD at Environmental Change Research Centre (ECRC), University College London (UCL).

Research Interests:
Ecological responses to palaeoenvironmental change; distribution of modern diatoms in relationship with their environment and taxonomy.
