Research Interests:

Dr. Liu Jiawei is dedicated to interdisciplinary research in the fields of geoscience, chemistry, and biology. His research focuses on the correlation between the environment, microorganisms, and minerals, with a particular emphasis on the electron transfer processes in microbial mineralization. He employs a comprehensive range of techniques including mineralogy, electrochemistry, microbiology, electron microscopy, and first-principles simulations to investigate the growth mechanisms and biological functions of nanominerals with different morphologies. To date, he has published 46 SCI papers, including 12 academic papers as the first author/corresponding author (including co-first author) in renowned international journals such as Science Advances, Nature Communications, Journal of the American Chemical Society, ACS Nano, and Small. His publications have been cited 1525 times, resulting in an h-index of 20.
