Zhendong Zhang is now a special-termed Professor at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, CAS. He was a Postdoc Research Associate at Princeton University (2020-2021) and MIT (2021-2023) before joining IGG, CAS. He obtained his PhD degree in Geophysics from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in 2019. His research interests include global mantle discontinuities, numerical solutions for pseudo-acoustic wave equations, finding optimal objective functions for elastic FWI, deep-learning aided regularization for multiparameter estimation and surface wave inversion.
